If you are new to skincare or would like to learn more, here are five holy grail products you do not want to miss.

Product #1: My All-Time Favourite Acne Mask

This product has been around my skincare routine for ages. Every time the time of the month arrives and my acne starts showing up, this charcoal mask saves the day.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask is known as a dupe for the GlamGlow SUPERMUD mask within the skincare community, and it works incredibly well. You can purchase the Body Shop dupe for only $28 CAD, while the GlamGlow mask is a whopping $77 CAD on Sephora! I'm not a huge fan of spending my coins on expensive skincare, because honestly, you can get the same quality for more than half the price. The Body Shop charcoal mask is 100% vegan, a great exfoliant, and clears up your acne in no time.

I normally use this mask for 10 minutes and gently wash it off with lukewarm water. Since the mask is designed to draw out your impurities, I definitely suggest using a moisturizer right after you wash off the mask. I promise you, your skin will feel so smooth and supple!

Product #2: The Best of All Toners

Now, we all know that Korea is the hub of the world's best skin care products. Most of our popular Sephora skincare brands, such as Glow Recipe, produce their skincare in Korea as they are well-known for their efficiency, quality, and affordable pricing. Instead of purchasing these high-end brands for a highly marked-up price, why don't we just buy our skincare from Korean brands instead?

Klairs is a great cruelty-free and vegan Korean brand that is widely known in the Asian skincare community. At the end of every December, Wishtrend (an online store very similar to Sephora), has a huge sale on all their products. One item I never fail to purchase is the Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner. This oil-free toner is great for removing excess makeup after face washing and balancing your skin's pH level. Since my skin is sensitive, this product works well for me.

Product #3: My Best Winter Moisturizer

One thing I hate about winter is dehydrated skin. Our fragile faces require much care and attention, so here is my favourite moisturizer to use during the dry seasons.

Klairs, again, wins my Top 5 with their Rich Moist Soothing Cream. This unscented moisturizer is perfect for the wintertime, as my skin gets extremely dry and sensitive. The best part about this moisturizer is that it does not leave your skin feeling sticky, which is a common flaw in thick moisturizers. I also love using this as a moisturizing primer before putting on my makeup. Definitely one of my go-to's!

Product #4: Cleanse Yourself!

So, what is a cleansing balm? A cleansing balm is an oil-based cleanser that removes dirt and impurities without stripping your face from its natural oils. You can use this product to double-cleanse daily with a regular cleanser, or as a more environmentally-friendly way to remove your makeup. I personally use the product for the latter.

Then I Met You is a brand created by Charlotte Cho, a well-known skincare specialist from South Korea. The Living Cleansing Balm consists of many aromatic ingredients, which makes the product smell absolutely wonderful. Out of all the cleansing balms I've tried, this has got to be my favourite one (I mean, it takes off my waterproof mascara, what else can I ask for?), hands down. After taking my makeup off with the Living Cleansing Balm, I wash my face with my regular cleanser and remove the remaining makeup with a toner and a cotton pad.

I truly live by these products, and I hope you will enjoy them too. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions, I'd love to help!
