Hi there, welcome to my new blog! I will be writing more about my lifestyle, skincare routine, favourite makeup products and new fashion trends. Bear with me through this journey, as I am a little rusty with my writing.

About Me

Let's start from the beginning. Hi there! My name is Charlotte Angkriwan, and I am Singaporean, Canadian and Indonesian. Oh yeah, the triple threat. I will be turning 20 this year (the adult life...) and I am terrified. From making your own doctor calls to filing your own taxes, there are just so many things to be afraid of. But, at the end of the day, growing up is inevitable and I am hoping to take you all on my magnificent journey of adulthood.

Family, Cultures, and More

I come from a family of 4 in Singapore, and my parents originated from Surabaya, Indonesia. After living 10 amazing years of my childhood in Singapore, my parents made the tough but amazing decision to move to Victoria, Canada. Moving to Canada at such a young age was a complete culture shock, but it was so worth it.

Being able to experience different cultures and traditions is truly a blessing. Moving around has made me more culturally aware, and that is truly the best gift of all. To those who do not think travelling is important, think again! The world is so beautiful in many different ways, and being able to experience it first-hand is so incredibly remarkable.

My favourite thing about Canadian culture is the inherent presence of kindness. I can walk into a grocery store and there will be someone there to ask me how my day was, and start a simple but meaningful conversation. My favourite thing about Singapore, on the other hand, is their FOOD. Singapore is the epicentre of authentic Asian food. Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, you name it. They have it all.

As you can tell, I seriously love travelling. I cannot wait to hop on a plane and go someplace new near the end of this pandemic. You suck, COVID-19. In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy more posts about fashion, skincare, and the occasional baking reviews!
